.NET, frontend and hosting, under your brand
How we build.
Not a menu of services: one engineering practice with a bar everything has to clear. Rob scopes the project and stays involved when associates join the delivery.
01 / .NET platforms
The backend your clients never think about.
Greenfield platforms, careful modernisation of legacy estates, and the integrations in between: payment providers, CRMs, PIMs, identity. New builds start on current LTS versions of .NET, API-first, so the frontend and whatever comes after it are not locked in.
Greenfield platforms
APIs, portals, e-commerce and SaaS backends, architected for the team who maintains them after us.
Modernisation
.NET Framework estates moved to modern .NET in planned phases, without a big-bang rewrite.
Integrations
Payments, CRM, PIM, identity, search. The unglamorous plumbing, done so it never surprises anyone.
02 / Frontend
Your design, built faithfully.
React and Next.js frontends built to the design you hand us, to the pixel and to the interaction. Server-rendered where it matters, accessible to WCAG 2.2 AA as standard, with performance budgets agreed up front rather than apologised for later.
React & Next.js builds
Server-rendered, statically generated or hybrid, chosen per page, not per fashion.
Design-system faithful
We build what was designed. Deviations get raised, not silently shipped.
Static templates
Frontend templates to slot into your own backend team's workflow, if that's all you need.
03 / The bar
Every project clears this. No exceptions.
These aren't aspirations. They're the working defaults on every engagement, whatever its size.
01
Reviewed, always
No code reaches a client environment without a second senior pair of eyes.
02
CI/CD from day one
Automated builds, tests and deployments before feature one is written.
03
Staging that matches prod
You sign off on an environment that behaves like the real thing.
04
Accessible by default
WCAG 2.2 AA as the baseline, not a paid extra.
05
Performance budgets
Page-weight and Core Web Vitals targets agreed up front and tested against.
06
Documented handover
Readmes, runbooks and architecture notes: you're never hostage to us.
04 / Hosting
And we keep it running.
Azure-first hosting sized to your actual traffic, not a shared-tier guess, with 24/7 monitoring and a named developer who knows the estate. Available standalone or folded into a support retainer.
- Azure-first, AWS where it fits
- 24/7 monitoring & alerting
- Sized from real traffic metrics
- Standalone or folded into a retainer
05 / Questions
Before you scope it with us.
- Which versions of .NET do you build on?
- New .NET builds start on the current LTS release. We can maintain an older version already in your estate and plan its move to a supported release. We will not start a new project on a release approaching end of life.
- Can you modernise a .NET Framework application without a full rewrite?
- Usually, yes. A .NET Framework estate can often move to modern .NET in planned phases, with an API layer extracted before functional slices migrate. That lets the application stay shippable during the move. Sometimes a full rewrite is the honest answer; we will say so after looking at the estate.
- Do you build to designs we provide, or do you design too?
- We build to the design you hand us, to the pixel and to the interaction. We are an engineering practice, not a design studio. Where a design cannot be built as drawn, usually an accessibility or responsive edge case, we raise it with you rather than silently shipping something different.
- What accessibility standard do you work to?
- WCAG 2.2 AA is the baseline on every project, included in the price rather than sold as an extra. That covers keyboard operability, colour contrast, focus visibility, semantic structure and reduced-motion support, tested with automated tooling and manual keyboard passes before sign-off.
- How is hosting priced?
- Per estate. We size hosting from your actual traffic and resource profile. A transactional platform at peak and a brochure site have no business on the same plan. Hosting is available standalone or folded into a support retainer alongside monitoring and patching; retained developer hours depend on the plan.
- What happens if we want to take the work in-house later?
- You take it. The code lives in your repositories throughout, with readmes, runbooks and architecture notes written as we go. The team who maintains the project after us should be able to do so without us. That is a deliberate design goal, not a courtesy.
